The Paradox of Power - Hashim Kardar

The line between good and evil is blurred, often we try to be good but when we end up in a dark abyss of evil, we don't even realize.....

In the vast expanse of literary characters, few have captured the essence of complexity as Hashim Kardar, the enigmatic antagonist from the novel Namal. On one hand, he embodies the quintessential villain, ruthless and cunning, with a penchant for manipulation. On the other, he reveals a more nuanced side, driven by a deep-seated desire to protect and provide for his loved ones.

 A Family Man:

Hashim Kardar, the handsome criminal defense lawyer whose aura is unmatched is a family person. Hashim Kardar's love for his family is unwavering, and he will stop at nothing to ensure their well-being. He is a provider, a protector, and a patriarch, willing to make sacrifices for those he holds dear. His family is his Achilles' heel, and he will do whatever it takes to keep them safe.

 A Self-Made Man:

Hashim Kardar's rise to power is a testament to his hard work and determination. He is a self-made man, who has clawed his way to the top through sheer force of will. His ambition is admirable, but it also serves as a catalyst for his downfall.

The Descent into Villainy:

As the story unfolds, Hashim Kardar's actions become increasingly ruthless and calculating. He is driven by a desire for power and control, and he will stop at nothing to achieve his goals. His family, once the center of his universe, becomes a mere pawn in his game of power and manipulation. He remembered that he is a husband, a father, and a son, driven by a desire to protect and provide for those he loves, but he forgot that he was a human being first of all and his actions might have consequences.

His Love for Abdaar:

One of the most fascinating aspects of his personality is his all-consuming love for the woman he affectionately calls "Red." Theirs is a love story that is both poignant and tragic, marked by passion, betrayal, and ultimately, heartbreak.

"Hashim Kardar had not fallen in love, but had fallen deeply in obsession."

His love for her was pure.

"The relationship for Hashim Kardar was like a delicate glass that he didn't even want to touch with dust."

However, he was an egoistic person who couldn't tolerate her Red falling in love with his enemy so he killed her with her own hands because:

"Hashim Kardar could bear her death, but couldn't share her."

 A Quest for Redemption:

Despite his villainous ways, Hashim Kardar yearns for redemption. He seeks forgiveness for his past transgressions, and hopes to make amends with those he has wronged. However, the characters of the story are unforgiving, and his family by betraying him pushes him further down the path of destruction.

The Final Act:

In the end, Hashim Kardar remains unrepentant, his arrogance and pride refusing to yield. He is a tragic figure, a complex character, driven by a toxic mix of emotions and motivations.

Hashim Kardar is a villain, yes, but he never deserved betrayal from the family for whom he had blood of several people on his hands.
